On November 12th, The Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) hosted its 2024 Veterans Resource Fair at the Silver Spring Civic Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. This event brought together veterans from across the region, providing them with access to essential resources and services to support their well-being and future success.
With the participation of over 40 vendors and sponsors, the event was a resounding success, serving hundreds of veterans and their families. Veterans received free items such as brand-new work attire, Health & Comfort Kits, food, raffle prizes, gift cards, and more. Additionally, they accessed free services, including medical and dental care, haircuts, basic manicures, and makeup application. Employment, housing, and financial assistance were also available, ensuring that attendees could explore a wide range of support tailored to their unique needs.

A Day of Care, Connection, and Gratitude

From obtaining employment opportunities to accessing health and wellness services, attendees left the event with resources to support their continued success.
Thank You to Our Partners
This event would not have been possible without the commitment of our vendors, sponsors, and volunteers who came together to make the Resource Fair a success. By addressing the wide-ranging needs of veterans, we demonstrated the power of collective action in creating lasting impacts for those who have served.
Looking Ahead
The DVNF remains committed to empowering disabled and at-risk veterans through events like the Resource Fair. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated, and we look forward to next year’s Resource Fair, as well as continuing our mission of providing critical support to our nation’s heroes.
