In Partnership with the Orlando VA Medical Center | April 4, 2025

On April 4th, 2025, the Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) partnered with the Orlando VA Medical Center at 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL, to host a powerful and compassionate Health & Comfort “Grab N Go” event. Together, we served over 500 disabled and at-risk veterans, not just with essential supplies, but with dignity, respect, and the reassurance that they are not alone.
Serving More Than Supplies – Serving Hope
In a time when many veterans continue to face invisible battles—be it food insecurity, homelessness, or isolation—this event became a moment of connection and healing. Each veteran who attended received:
- A DVNF Health & Comfort Kit filled with critical hygiene, wellness items and a thank you for your service placed in every kit by our sponsors and volunteers.
- A free hot lunch, served with smiles and fellowship
- Immediate access to information and support from DVNF’s core programs:
- Veterans Food Assistance Program (VFAP) – offering grocery relief to veterans facing food insecurity
- Grants to Provide Stability (GPS) – providing emergency financial aid to keep veterans in stable housing
- Homeless to Housing (H2H) – supporting veterans as they transition from homelessness into permanent homes
These are not just programs—they are lifelines. And for many in attendance, this day was their first step toward reclaiming stability.
With Gratitude to Our Sponsors – Community Champions
We extend our deepest thanks to our generous event sponsors whose commitment made this day possible:

Volunteers: The Heart of the Day
This event would not have been possible without the incredible volunteers who brought it to life. From loading kits and serving meals to offering a listening ear, their kindness created an atmosphere of belonging and respect.
They were the first to arrive and the last to leave—ensuring that each veteran felt not only welcomed but celebrated.
