Veterans make up a proud minority of our country. Only 8% of Americans have answered the call to serve in the military. However, veterans make up an estimated 16% of the homeless population, which means they’re twice as likely to become homeless compared to the average. This winter, we want to do something for those who are most at risk among our veteran community.
DVNF’s plan is simple: provide blankets and warm coats to places like local VA facilities who support homeless vets. We need your help to ensure we get enough to help as many of the 40,000 veterans who won’t have a home.
